What this website loads, when optional third-party content is contacted and why there is no blanket tracking banner.
Current setup
This website does not currently load advertising pixels or analytics tracking before you choose to use any optional third-party feature. Normal browsing and the enquiry form do not depend on non-essential tracking cookies.
Strictly necessary technology
The hosting or form infrastructure may use security, routing or other technical mechanisms that are necessary to deliver the website or process a service you request. Technologies that are strictly necessary for that requested functionality do not require the same opt-in consent as analytics or advertising cookies.
Google Maps
The Barnton area map is not loaded automatically. Google Maps is contacted only after you select Load area map. The button makes it clear that this will load content from Google. At that point Google may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details and may use cookies or similar technologies under Google’s own privacy and cookie information.
You can use the rest of the website without loading the map.
Google Fonts
The site requests its display fonts from Google Fonts. This means your browser may connect to Google to retrieve font files. Rory Campbell Barbering does not use that connection to create advertising profiles or measure your behaviour on the site.
Why there is no general cookie banner
A general consent banner is not shown because this version of the site does not place non-essential analytics or advertising technologies before consent. The optional Google Map remains blocked until you choose to load it. If analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising tags or another non-essential tracking technology is added later, the site should be reviewed and appropriate consent controls introduced before it is enabled.
Your browser controls
You can also use your browser settings to view, block or delete cookies and site data. Blocking some strictly necessary technology may affect the way a requested online feature works.
Changes
This page should be updated if the website’s analytics, embeds, advertising, hosting or other third-party technology materially changes.
