Who is responsible for your information?
Rory Campbell Barbering is the data controller for personal information collected through this website and when you contact Rory about an appointment. You can contact Rory at rorycampbellbarbering@gmail.com or 07455 115894.
What information is collected?
The enquiry form can collect your name, phone number or email address, the service you are interested in, your preferred day or time, your area or postcode if relevant to a mobile visit, and anything you choose to add to the message field. Information you provide by phone, email or social media may also be used to deal with your enquiry or booking.
Please do not send sensitive personal information through the general enquiry form unless it is genuinely necessary for the service you are asking about.
Why it is used and the lawful basis
Your information is used to reply to enquiries, discuss availability, arrange and manage appointments, provide the service you have requested, and deal with reasonable follow-up or business administration. The lawful basis will normally be taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing a contract with you, complying with a legal obligation where one applies, or Rory’s legitimate interests in running and administering genuine customer enquiries and appointments.
What you need to provide
The form marks the information needed to send an enquiry. You do not have to use the form and can contact Rory by phone, email or Instagram instead. If you do not provide enough contact or appointment information, Rory may not be able to respond or arrange the service.
Who may receive or process it
The website is hosted and the enquiry form is handled using Netlify. Enquiries may then be handled through Google/Gmail and, where you choose to contact Rory there, through the relevant social media platform. These providers process information under their own security and privacy arrangements. Personal information is not sold to advertisers or data brokers.
International processing
Some technology providers used for website hosting, forms, email or third-party services may process personal information outside the UK. Where a restricted international transfer occurs, the relevant provider is expected to use an applicable UK adequacy arrangement and/or recognised contractual safeguards for that transfer.
How long information is kept
General enquiry and booking correspondence is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to deal with the enquiry, appointment and related administration, normally no longer than 12 months after the last contact unless there is a legal, accounting, safeguarding or dispute-related reason to retain particular information for longer.
Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances and the lawful basis being used, you may have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you believe your personal information has been handled improperly.
Cookies, Google Maps and external services
This website does not load advertising or analytics tracking by default. The Barnton Google Map is held back until you choose to load it. If you do, your browser connects to Google and Google may receive technical information and use cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy terms. Automated decisions and marketing
Rory Campbell Barbering does not use the enquiry form for automated decision-making or profiling. Enquiry details are not automatically added to a marketing mailing list.
Security and changes
Reasonable steps are taken to keep enquiry and booking information secure. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure. This notice will be updated if the website’s data use or service providers materially change.
